Originally Metin was released in 2004 by a Korean developer, which had great success in Europe. Graphically Metin 2 was not a impressive game. If we compare it with other games it seems rather poor. Though the 3D characters appear decent but the landscape is mostly tedious and repetitive.
Metin 2 offers very simple that makes the game stream lined MMORPG. It includes 3 kingdoms at war, each with the same classes which are Warrior, Mage, Assassin, and Sura. The only customization option players are offered is gender in addition to two outfits per class. Metin 2 doesn't offer instant hair style or color option though one can purchase these choices through the item mall. What's even unique in this game is that regardless of the kingdom a player selects, the opening location is the same for all players. When choosing a faction, players are simply made to choose diverse geographic locations on a map, so how they will end up starting in the same area is not at all explained. New characters in Metin 2 do not begin with any skills or skill points but do begin with a different allotment of the game's 4 stats; Con, Int, Str, and Dex. Each level player will be provided with bonus stat points to allocate and will start getting skill points once they make their first class change at level 5. Another important aspect of Metin 2 is that the radar and map are very simple but perform a modest job by leading players to quest objectives.
