Maplestory is perhaps the most played free-to-play MMORPG of all time with more than 70 million user accounts created so far. Maplestory is a fantasy based 2D side-scrolling MMORPG with loads of features and activities to do. Though you might think the game looks very childish due to its cartoony graphics, but it has lots of excitements to offer.
Each player starts on the game as a classless beginner, but can move forward to their opening jobs at level ten (level eight for magicians). The game lets the players complete various quests at the tutorial so that they can get a feel for the game, and even achieve a few levels while you're at the tutorial area.
The game includes following job advancements which are warrior, magician, bowman, thief and pirate. Warriors are known as the strongest melee class while magicians are the strongest characters in the initial parts of the game. Bowman are the generic 'archer' character and they have the capacity to deal a massive amount of damage from a distance. A Thief is the usual 'rogue' archetype in Maplestory with the capacity to employ either daggers or throwing weapons. Thieves can deal massive amounts of damage at higher levels, but tend to have low hit points. Pirates are introduced within last few game updates and they are known to be very fast attackers.
The game play of Maplestory is exceptionally addictive, as distinct other free MMORPGs, with every 'level up' players can earn three skill points instead of just one, therefore the progression becomes more significant. The graphics of Maplestory are also very unique, and it is among the first side-scrolling MMORPGs.
